Week 2 and 3

Sorry, I had a Midterm and its been crazy around here. The midterm went well. My kids are not crazy about the time I spend studying, so I try to balance studying with time for them. Which means the blog suffers!

I got an A on my midterm. The mistakes I made on it had more to do with the length of the test and my attention span more than my knowledge of the material. And it was 60 % multiple choice. I hate multiple choice. All in all a good effort.

I do enjoy being back in the class room. I enjoy the material in the class and the professor is good though sometimes he comes across as nervous. It is strange that he is my age (graduated High School the year before me). But that is bound to happen. Many of the professors have kids close in age to mine. Makes for interesting conversation.

They gave me keys! All the graduate students get keys to the Econ grad student computer lab and the student lounge. I feel so important. Though I did have a strange encounter with a 5th year PhD student my first time in the computer lab. The door is always locked, so I used my key to get in. She came in behind me and asked if I was a student. I said yes, I was new. I mean she saw I had a key so I was surprised by the question. She was friendly and introduced herself and asked what I was taking, etc. She did seem suspicious but I guess I passed the questioning. I've seen her a few times since and she always smiles and waves. Seems nice enough.

So, this week is my last week in Macro. I have a quiz on Monday and a final on Friday. My brain already hurts thinking about it. And we have my oldest last day of soccer camp on Monday as well. So, add that to the REQUIRED visits to the pool, and we have a busy week. I'll try to post after the final.
